Performs any combination of the following: keeping
financial books, budgeting and controls, accounts receivable, accounts payable,
inventory and payroll, calculating, posting and verifying financial data for
use in accounting records. Performs assigned accounting functions such as
checking and verification of data, audit disbursement vouchers, and credit and
debit memos. May help prepare trial balance and basic financial statements.
Duties are routine and repetitive.
COMPUTER AIDED DRAFTING (Architectural) (2
yr AAS) St. Philip’s College
Use
computer assisted drafting equipment and software. Prepare working plans and
detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches and notes for engineering or manufacturing
purposes according to specified dimensions. Utilize knowledge of various
machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other
physical sciences to complete drawings.
COMPUTER HELP DESK SPECIALIST (2
yr AAS)
Resolve
computer software and hardware problems of users. Receives telephone calls from
users having specific problems. Talks with user to determine source of specific
error and recommend solution. Talk to Programmers to explain problems or to recommend
solution to problem. Needs very good software knowledge and working knowledge
of hardware and hardware configurations.
COMPUTER MAINTENANCE TECHNOLOGY
(2 yr AAS) St. Philip’s College
Performs
routine maintenance and both major and minor repairs on computer hardware in
accordance with operations manuals and manufacturer’s specifications.
Maintenance includes dismantling hardware for parts replacement, cleaning and
installation of peripheral equipment.
COMPUTER NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR (2
yr AAS)
Work in virtually all areas of industry in
companies, public or private, which use PC based network systems. Maintain and enhance multi-user computer
networks, ensure computer hardware compatibility and software compatibility.
Coordinate the integration of independent hardware peripherals and
communications systems necessary for computer linkages through network systems
or between individual systems, maintain documentation and provide network user
training.
COMPUTER
PROGRAMMER (2 yr AAS)
Performs routine
assignments, which normally require following detailed specifications. Requires
knowledge of one or more applications languages. Plans, develops, tests, and
documents computer programs, working from detailed source data. May prepare
program documentation and materials for users. Works on complex computer
programs requiring in depth knowledge of an organizations operating procedures
and technology.
GRAPHIC ARTS – Interactive Graphics Option (2
yr AAS)

Design and arrange objects and materials to achieve artistic or decorative effects in a digital environment for interactive applications. May include graphic design, audio engineering, video editing, and animation, web page design and administration, multimedia development and authoring, interface design, game design, animation or video/audio production.
